The following problems should be paid attention to in plastic mold design:
1. The rubber inlet shall be set in the thick part of the product to ensure the smooth and complete filling of the mold;
2. Although it is set at the place that does not affect the appearance and function of the product, it can be set at the edge or the bottom;
3. In the cold cavity near the gate, the material pulling rod should be arranged as often as possible to facilitate the demoulding of the sprue;
4. For large or flat products, multi-point pouring is proposed to prevent warpage, deformation and material shortage;
5. The orientation should be selected to make the plastic filling process compare with the disadvantages, so as to reduce the pressure loss and be conducive to the mold exhaust;
6. The gate should be opened to prevent the long core from being close to the core, so as to prevent the material flow from directly impacting the core, causing deformation, dislocation or bending;
7. Gate size is determined by product size, geometry, structure and plastic type. Small size can be taken first and then corrected according to mold test condition;
8. Through mold flow analysis or experience, it can be inferred whether the fusion line of the product due to the gate position affects the appearance and function of the product, which can be treated by adding a cold material hole;
9. When one mold is multi hole, the symmetrical casting method is adopted for the same products. When the differential products are molded in the same mould, the control products will be placed near the main stream.
