When it comes to molds, people often associate die-casting molds with injection molds. In fact, the difference between the two is still very big. By dry die casting, liquid or semi-liquid metal fills the mold cavity at a very high speed and solidifies under pressure to obtain die castings.

Generally used for metal materials, and injection molding is the main method of thermoplastic molding. Thermoplastics are made of thermoplastic resins, which can be repeatedly heated and softened, and cooled to solidify. It is a physical process and is reversible, that is, it can be recycled as plastic. Yes, although both of them use molds to make products, although the working principles are not much different, the materials are different, and the natural molds are also different. The following editor will briefly tell you the difference between die-casting molds and injection molds!

1. The injection pressure of the die-casting mold is high, so the template of the mold is relatively high, and it should be relatively thick to prevent deformation.
2. The gate of the die-casting mold is also different from that of the Wangsu mold.
3. The die-casting mold core does not need to be quenched, because the temperature in the mold cavity is relatively high during die-casting, which is equivalent to a quenching, and the injection mold needs to be quenched.
4. The cavity of the die-casting mold should be nitrided to prevent the cavity of the alloy mucous membrane.
5. Generally, the die-casting mold is relatively corroded, and the outer surface is generally blued.
6. The injection mold generally relies on the thimble, and the face-to-face type can be exhausted. The die-casting mold must have an exhaust groove and a slag collection bag.
7. The faceted type of the die-casting mold has higher requirements. The fluidity of the alloy should be much better than that of the plastic. It will be very dangerous for the high temperature and high pressure flow material to fly out of the faceted type.
8. Compared with the injection mold, the fitting clearance of the movable distribution part of the die-casting mold is larger, because the high temperature of the die-casting process will cause thermal expansion, and if the clearance is too small, the mold will be stuck.
